🚐 Caravan SandWitch - Cosy wasteland adventures
A game that I came across by AIIG. Where you move around a post apocalyptic world in a van.
It seems there are more cozy games coming up these day maybe everyone wants a stress free environment to escape to.
Caravan SandWitch’s developers got the idea while on a hike: a game about exploring a desert world in a van. It creates a meditative vibe, with an amazing soundtrack and beautiful scenery in bold and pastel colours. You can’t die and there are no penalties. Just travel, follow the trail of your lost sister, and uncover the mystery behind the Sand Witches.
Hence why the developers call this a hopeful post-apocalypse. Cigalo was once home to a major industrial operation, which abandoned the place after a massive accident. Consequently, the world is full of modern ruins, half-buried by time and the desert. It would create an eerie atmosphere, and there are times when you can sense the planet’s abandoned past.

David Whele talks about returning to Game Dev after his Success and Burnout
Davis Whele creator of The Last Tree game and Gamedev Unlock course is back with a new video talking about the perils of success.
I joined David course a long time back during the pandemic and wanted to do indie games. Seeing his success skyrocket caused him to quit game dev and YouTube due to the weight of expectations put on him. Its very courageous of him to share what is going on in his life. On and off we did get emails about his progress and musings of the industry through those updates.
He felt that he might have lost sight of things trying to help so many people. Maybe its ok to just focus on yourself and family.
He has his next game announcement coming and will either stay or leave the industry entirely depending on its success. It nice to hear for him talk on camera, about his upcoming project, and I wish him success on his creative endeavours whether he stays or not in the indie games industry.

Xbox interested to buy WB Games. WB Games interested to license IP. (Possibly Rumor)
Recently WB Discovery is looking to sell, various assets such as their game division. This was reported on Financial Times that after the merger between Warner and Discovery they have not been doing so well. Based on the financial times article I feel that they are looking for some short term savings .
Zaslav and Wiedenfels are instead looking to offload smaller assets. They are considering offers to sell Polish broadcaster TVN or a stake in Warner’s video games business, which holds valuable intellectual property to Harry Potter games, said people familiar with the matter.
Xbox is rumored to be interested again to buy WB Games. It might be a good thing for Xbox to consider to get some super hero IP like Batman and Superman since marvel games like Spiderman is locked in on Sony.
Getting Mortal Kombat developer Netherealms might help the fighting genre on the Xbox side of things, plus Harry Porter license to booster more fantasy based titles.
At the same time WB Games is also looking to License its IP out, probably due to the and now it is possibly the failure of and WB as a company is not doing so well.
