I do remember a time when i was a younger child, during Chinese studies about this legend from China. I did watch a production about the Monkey King but it was laughable. Looks like this game has really propelled chinese culture and legends. Maybe Itโs a good step up for the gaming industry there, I did remeber China trying to get into animation as a cultural export but looks like video games might be the way to go.

Gacha Gaming Impact on RPGs
Gacha gaming or Free to Play has taken off in recent times thanks to games like Genshin Impact gaining popularity worldwide.
In this article by
he goes about how these Gacha Games make it accessible for players who might not have a lot of cash, the game design and their monetisation methods good and bad.Gacha gaming are taking over traditional JRPS like FInal Fantasy, reading this looks like old JRPG games might be falling the wayside. if they want to attract new audiences it might have been a F2P game.
I do love the old JRPG games but they might not be that financially accessible to all, but a modern Final Fantasy Game might be a Gacha game like Genshin Impact, instead and Square Enix might have missed it.

Steam Platform updates for Devs
Whale making a steam page saw this updates in my email and on YouTube. Steam to me is both How to market a game and Belluar News talk about these changes.
This is also gone into greater details by Chris Zukowski of HTMAG on the changes and its impact to indie devs.
Here is the short of it:
Demos get their own page
Not sure how this will affect new games but getting demos as a page can help with seeing how a game can potentially do and it can be its own marketing. That means indie devs have to release a demo for their marketing efforts.
Removal of Links and IFRAME in Store page Description
Store Page will just be a store page you cannot add links. Chris Z goes through this in detail and one strategy Indie Devs used as they keep releasing games is to promote the new game on the old popular game.
I do feel that Steam is trying to moderate some abuses especially spam link, but itโs actually a good way to get visibility if you have released manay games by interlinking them. you may need to build up your own website and othe rplaces to promote your steam game
User reviews moderation New helpfullness System
Steam will be prioritising Informative reviews ont heir platform so that customers will make informed decisions on the game they are going to purchase. So low quality reviews might get pushed down if it does not seem to help with a purchase.
Watch here to listen to belluar news for their summary on steam changes.
